Full time EEC Certified Teacher

Must be at least 21 years old with a degree in either ECE, elementary education, psychology or sociology OR have courses in early childhood as outlined by EEC. Additionally, 9 months of experience in a child care setting is required.

Satisfactory Background Record Check (BRC) including fingerprinting
Current first aid and CPR training

Completion of orientation and e-training

Responsibilities
With a lead teacher:
assists in developing classroom curriculum based on MA standards
helps in carrying out the classroom curriculum through quality interaction
assists in the supervision and guidance of each child’s development
assists in referring a child
assists in planning and organizing the classroom with a nature inspired eye
helps to keep a safe, neat, clean room
participates actively and cooperatively in the teaching team
contributes to a classroom newsletter
familiar with NAEYC accreditation standards
assists in maintaining required records including:
daily attendance
child assessments, observation and documentation
conferences
medication log
injury report and log
classroom curriculum plans
Participates in Center events
Participates in training
Attends monthly staff meetings
Participates in family and community events (when allowable after CoVid)
Other duties related to the role as assigned
